Is a Shomer Sachar Liable for a Non-Preventable Geneivah?

I offer a service for people to give me their valuables for safekeeping in exchange for a fee. I am well known in my neighborhood for what I do and for what my house contains; therefore, I know that I am a target for potential thieves. For this reason, I have a license to carry a gun and it is known that I will use it if necessary. Recently, I had a medical emergency and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. Word of this got out, and my house was robbed. Am I liable to pay?

Is a CEO Allowed to Give Money He Is Entrusted With Over to His Secretary?

Reuven is both the CEO of a large company and the treasurer of his shul. The shul held a Chinese Auction and took in a lot of cash. At the end of the evening, the money was given to Reuven. He gave it to his secretary to count and take to the bank. On her way to the bank, she was robbed. Some of the members of the shul claim that Reuven should have taken the money to the bank himself and not given it to his secretary. They feel that he should be responsible to pay for the loss. Are they correct?
